Any idea on when that'll come out of beta?

It's not in "beta" any more. It's currently in "rc". :-)

Anyone with comments on how well it's been working for them?

Current CVS is flawless as far as faxing goes as far as I can tell. Much, much better than previous releases.

I'm not sure I'm willing to risk beta software, regardless of how
stable
it seems.

It's your loss. ;-)

Obviously there are a lot of people that will refuse to use software until a "full release". And even then, there are still a lot of people that refuse to use a ".0" release. If that suits them, then that's great. But if all "full release" versions of the software do not contain a needed feature that is available as a "beta" or as an "rc", then they're only doing themselves a disservice by not at least trying the "beta" or "rc".
