By isdn modem you mean...? Brand? Model? This is
important information.

Many here use AVM cards which works with Capi.

Depends of what you want to spend. USB modems could be
a cheap option. ISDN cards are good if you use the
active ones (later you maybe need add more lines), the
passiv limits you in the number and type of cards you
can attach to the box.
