Hello Christian,

did you read the capi4hylafax documentation ant the comment in the  
first lines of the file config.faxCAPI?
There should be a comment in German and English starting with  
"Grundsätzliches:" and "Basics:".
Somewhere on your system you should find  README.html and LIESMICH.html  
files. (On Debian it's in /usr/share/doc/capi4hylafax.)

If your system does not have the comment or the files, you can download

ftp://ftp.avm.de/tools/capi4hylafax.linux/capi4hylafax-01.02.02.tar.gz

Summary:
For 8 simultaneous connections you need 8 virtual devices defined in  
config.faxCAPI and a config.<devicename> file or link for every device  
to make hylafax happy.
