Thanks but I don't think this particular model has any physical volume controls.

I assumed the folks who initially asked me that question were doing so for a
reason. I've looked through the archives and FAQ's though and haven't
discovered any clues as to what could be wrong if there is no sound present. On
a regular analog modem if the line cord is plugged into the "phone" jack instead
of the "line" jack this is similar to what will happen (from experience).
There's only one DID jack though so that's why I was asking about wiring.
