flexfax: Newbie question

Hello,

I've just installed HylaFax from a binary distribution to
Linux machine running RedHat 5.1.

Distribution: hylafax4_0pl2mir_i386.rpm
OS: Redhat 5.1, Kernel 2.0.34
modem: PRAGMATIC DM1428RB

I did

rpm -i hylafax4_0pl2mir_i386.rpm
faxsetup
addfaxmodem
/etc/rc.d/init.d/faxq start
faxmodem modem
/usr/local/bin/sendfax -d some_fax_number  /etc/hosts

and it worked :-)

but when i do something like:
/usr/local/bin/sendfax -d some_fax_number  postscript-file

fax tramsmission is aborted after sending the cover page :-(
and  syslog shows something like

FaxSend[885]: Modem does not support document page width, max page width
1728 pixels, image width 1686 pixels

I have played with several

 AT+FDCC=1,5,0,2,0,0,0,0

and
 TIFF2psCmd: "bin/tiff2ps -d 1728"

but it did not resolve the problem.

So, what am i doing wrong ?
