No, not without altering the source code. In hfaxd/FileSystem.c++ there
is an array (HylaFAXServer::dirs[]), and hfaxd is limited to using those
listed directories.
I agree that being able to use customized directories under HylaFAX
spool directory with hfaxd clients would be useful in some settings...
so maybe looking into developing some kind of new feature for HylaFAX
would suit you.
If developing HylaFAX features isn't for you but you are writing your
own client program then it should be possible in your client program to
work with hfaxd and an ftpd ... putting your customized directories
accessible by ftp instead of hfaxd.
