Re: [hylafax-users] caller ID issue
Thanks Lee,
I just tried Class 1 - now I can receive the fax, but seems I don't get the
callerID at all.
This is the config file I'm trying.

Try switching to Class 1.

Hi,
 I am using hylafax 4.2.3 on RHEL 3 (updater 6) with a US Robotics
Sportster 56K modem. My line has caller ID option. I am having problems
receiving faxes if I enable caller ID in modem config file. Here is what
I add to the modem config file (I also switched to answer on 2 ring so I
can get the caller ID info):
 ModemResetCmds:         AT#CID=1
 When enabled - here is what happens: in hylafax log file I get:
 Dec 15 13:25:50.50: [ 4553]: SESSION BEGIN 000000053 14166075301
Dec 15 13:25:50.50: [ 4553]: HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.2.3

Dec 15 13:26:38.57: [ 4553]: ANSWER: FAX CONNECTION  DEVICE '/dev/modem'
Dec 15 13:26:38.57: [ 4553]: RECV FAX: begin
Dec 15 13:26:41.00: [ 4553]: --> [7:+FHS:74]
Dec 15 13:26:41.00: [ 4553]: REMOTE HANGUP: T.30 T1 timeout after EOM
received (code 74)
Dec 15 13:26:41.01: [ 4553]: --> [2:OK]
Dec 15 13:26:41.01: [ 4553]: RECV FAX: T.30 T1 timeout after EOM received
Dec 15 13:26:41.01: [ 4553]: RECV FAX: end
Dec 15 13:26:41.01: [ 4553]: SESSION END
 What happens is sending party closes the call. I tried with couple of
different fax machines - result always the same.
 If I only change
 ModemResetCmds:         AT#CID=0
 (disable callerID) I can receive fax without problems.
 Anyone have an idea what could be wrong?
Thank you!
 Ivan
