Hi Bodo,
I replied to the same message, already. But I think that the --bind
option was never really inspected. In the past I sent some question to
debian-devel but I got no answers.

The main reason while I am reluctant is that I don't know if this could
work on any debian architecture. I checked that it works for 2.4 and 2.6
kernels. Will this work on the Hurd? What about m68k systems with 2.2
linux kernels?

Today I made some research on the '--bind' option of mount and I think
that probably nobody is using hylafax on m68k machines, moreover for
m68k a 2.4 kernel is already available.
About the Hurd, I don't think it will be included in the next official
debian release.

So, it may be a good idea to switch using --bind on 4.2.2 debian
package: this would remove the dual directory stuff.

Any other comment?
