Yes, I have. I tested the 8-port version.
Somebody recommended it to me saying that is a good modem, but I'm not
sure
how it would work with HylaFax.
It uses the Conexant/Rockwell K56 chipset, one per modem, so it's
technologically identical to a Comtrol RocketModem II as far as faxing
goes.
Besides it is expensive - $1000, so I
don't
want to cause any damage to the modem.
For faxing purposes the expense for the Equinox card versus something
else less-expensive is probably wasted.
Also, the manual instructs that
I must
use mgetty.
Well, you should probably just ignore the manual for it.
