Carl, 

Are you using the 2977 patton or digi datafire?
I have not been able to get it to work reliably in class 1 yet but am
working with patton right now on it.  I think it is close.

Class 2 works ok but has some limitations that I think Lee has outlined
in the past about digi modems.  Same applies to the 2977/datafire.

I can share my findings if you are using the same equipment as I am.
