The problem here is that the HDLC frame that is being transmitted is
not a "final frame", and thus HylaFAX was expecting CONNECT instead of
OK, and that's why HylaFAX ignores the OK and keeps waiting until the
timeout. This is not "standard external faxmodem" behavior.
HylaFAX's behavior here is different in 4.2.0. You may want to try
4.2.0beta2, it should behave differently after getting the unexpected
OK. Now, I'm not certain that it will "fix" the transmission,
however. It might, though.
Really this is something that Dialcom needs to fix. But given that it
appears to be an older modem, I doubt that you'll get anywhere with
it. We can make a workaround in HylaFAX, however. I'll need to see
the HylaFAX 4.2.0 behavior, though, to be able to help you there.
