I agree with this, so check your sio settings the kernel you are using.

What's wrong with this is your sio device configuration when you compiled
your kernel - nothing to do with the "broken" 5.x tree.  Do a dmesg | grep
sio  and you will probably see your error there.  My guess is that your BIOS
has PnP enabled - disable it.
