thank u lee for the suggestion.
but the problem is i had already made an attempt to install 
hylafax v4.1.6 from
source using "install hylafaxClient"(after ./configure, make) but 
i think it has not been
instsalled properly. fax2ps is missing in usr/local/bin and also 
hyla.conf in
usr/local/lib/fax is missing.now how to uninstall to start a fresh 
installation?
