[hylafax-users] Some fail with: No response to MPS repeated 3 times

Hi

Im running hylafax 4.1.6 on redhat linux 9.0 and my modem is of type USROBOTICS SPORTSTER 28800 FAX.

My problem is that faxes to some fax machines (about 50%) don't work and they fail with the message: No response to MPS repeated 3 times. To other fax machines it works just fine.

I have tested class 2.0 and class 1, hylafax 4.1.5 and hylafax 4.1.6 and the problem is always their.

I have read about this problem in the mailing list archives and it seemed to be a bug that was resolved for about 2 years ago. I can't find any recent postings on this topic.

I would be very greatful for some hints.
