Prior to my current setup I was running five modems, one onboard serial and
twin two port SIIG cards. They seemed to behave quite well and RH 7.2 didn't
even need any additional drivers for them if I recall correctly. I ran like
that for about a year.
We do have these things crap out on us on a semi-regular basis in our POS
systems, but I suspect that may be a result of trying to push the signal too
far to our remote receipt printers, but that's a different topic.
