Don't get angry just because you don't get it...
Unless you have a little knowledge in how to admin Unix/Linux, you should not
be trying to set up something that you will be relying on.
Microsoft solutions are fine... and costly... and locked into what features
THEY want to give you.... and.......
If that is OK with you, then DO IT, but don't poke fun at Linux developers
just because you don't know how to use a man page. Besides, they have nothing
to do with Hylafax.
Hylafax is working GREAT for me, and just replaced a Windows NT fax server
running three lines on a 3 line license for "david".
I now have the capacity for 8 lines (easily) running on $80 modems, dumping
the faxes (incoming) to a custom archive system that I built, to a DB that is
searchable, and it cost me.... hardware costs, and time only.
Did I mention that _I_ was able to add my own archive.... good documentation,
and "open code" were the contributing factors. And I don't even consider
myself a programmer. Just an admin with a little linux knowledge, and a perl
script ;-)
just my 2 cents...
