If you check your setup files (/var/spool/fax/etc) you will see in
/var/spool/fax/etc/setup.cache what the default delivery agent is.
--<snip>--
fax:/ # grep mail /var/spool/fax/etc/*
/var/spool/fax/etc/setup.cache:SENDMAIL='/usr/sbin/sendmail'
--<\snip>--
This variable assignment ($SENDMAIL) is used throughout the rest of the
package for hylafax. In the routine to send email confirmations:
--<snip>--
fax:/ # grep SENDMAIL /var/spool/fax/bin/*
/var/spool/fax/bin/faxrcvd: ) | 2>&1 $SENDMAIL -ffax -oi $TOADDR
/var/spool/fax/bin/faxrcvd:# ) | 2>&1 $SENDMAIL -ffax -oi $SENDTO
/var/spool/fax/bin/faxrcvd: ) | 2>&1 $SENDMAIL -ffax -oi $TOADDR
/var/spool/fax/bin/notify:) | 2>&1 $SENDMAIL -t -ffax -oi
/var/spool/fax/bin/pollrcvd:) | 2>&1 $SENDMAIL -ffax -oi $MAILADDR
/var/spool/fax/bin/wedged:) | 2>&1 $SENDMAIL -t -ffax -oi
--<\snip>--
So, check to make sure that your MTA that hylafax is using is the one that you
know works.
Also, are you checking the right email address? The one on the local box?
try the "mail" command as root, and see if anything is there.
Also, is faxmaster an alias to another user? (other than root?) and is that a
valid email address? Are you sure who is to get the notifications for a fax
received?
Hope this helps,
