Huh?  There's no firmware?  Then where's the logic that knows what to do 
with "AT+FTH=3" in the first place?

Possibly the catalyst, but I don't know.  The "cause" of the *error* 
however, is the modem firmware.

"This problem" can only exist in Class 1.
