That's possibly due to different rounding. Fax resolution is defined in
metric system, and R8 = 1728 pels/215 mm = 8.037 pels/mm = 204.145
pels/inch

That's not so easy. For Class 2/2.0 it is not possible at all -- modem
itself should support it. As for Class1 --  yes, it's possible but

- ghostscript does not support anything but normal & fine resolution --
you'll have to rewrite its tiffg3/tiffg32d driver
- tiffcheck has to be updated
- bin/ps2fax has to be updated
- numerous changes in Hylafax itself have to be made.
