Something like that was my plan ;-)

I am affraid you're right.

I will take a look at w2hfax and Cypheus first, if I like w2hfax I will
ask you for your code. Very nice that w2hfax comes with the sourcecode! 

Another way would be to take the variables out of the ps-faxcover file.
