Very doubtful :-)

No way! Don't mix all setup commands (echo off, setup flow control, setup
volume etc.) into one init string -- there are special config parameters
available! Also init string lacks ATZ which is a must for reliable fax
operation. To make long story short, see my previous message -- the
solution is there.
