Well, 3.5.4 *does* have some problems, but as I'm aware, all of the
versions of hylafax that SuSE distributes are only compatible with 3.4.x
libtiff versions.  So, you either need to downgrade libtiff or you need to
recompile from a libtiff-3.5.x patched source.  Search through the mailing
archives and you'll get the picture.
