I edited my faxrcvd file to read :

	 echo ""
	 echo "--$MIMEBOUNDARY"
	 echo "Content-Type: image/tiff; name=$FILE"
	 echo "Content-Description: FAX document"
	 echo "Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64"
	 echo ""
	 /usr/bin/mmencode $FILE 2>/dev/null
	 echo ""
	 echo "--$MIMEBOUNDARY--"

This sends me the tiff file attached to the mail. shouldn't be too
hard to change $FILE to be your pdf file instead.
