Re: problem locking modem !!!



Hi Luca,

modem locking is important to prevent different processes to send
commands to the same modem at the same time and confuse it this way.
Usually one process takes control of the device and opens a
uucp-lock-file during the session.
Check the following:
Do you use different names for only one device (common cua / ttyS
problem)? You should use ttySX for the serial device on the whole
system! See mailing list archives!
