flexfax: postscript level 3

hi,

whenever i try to send a file that has been generated by adobe acrobat 4 
on our macintosh g3 with os 8.5.1, hylafax sends a message instead of the 
document to the recipient:

"error: your printer driver needs to be configured for printing to a 
postscript level 2 printer ..."

acrobat 4 builds postscript level 3 files. and in the printer-dialog 
there is no possibilty to change to level 2 only.

i am not sure where i have to start, since i dont know which command 
sendfax uses to process a postscript-file (the typerule-file says only 
that this is handled by the server). maybe the gs-package is too old?
