ECM errors
Hi,
I'm using Hylafax 4.0pl2 on AIX 4.2.1, with attacched a
Teleware PKS288 modem. Everything works just fine.
I tried to add another modem (Teleware RDS288, a rack modem. All
Telewares are basically Rockwell chipset modems), but I'm
experiencing a weird problem. When trying to send a fax to
the new modem I just added the page(s) go through, I
can see them perfectly and everything seems OK from the
hylafax side. Here is an excerpt of the logs:
May 06 14:57:01.95: [256454]: RECV recv EOP (no more pages or documents)
May 06 14:57:01.95: [256454]: --> [2:OK]
May 06 14:57:01.95: [256454]: RECV send MCF (message confirmation)
May 06 14:57:01.95: [256454]: RECV FAX (00007142): from +39 xx xxxxxxxx, page 1 in 0:27, INF, 3.85 line/mm, 2-D MR
May 06 14:57:01.95: [256454]: RECV FAX (00007142): recvq/fax02010.tif from +39 xx xxxxxxxx, route to <unspecified>, 1 pages in 0:29
May 06 14:57:01.95: [256454]: <-- [7:AT+FDR\r]
May 06 14:57:04.94: [256454]: --> [8:+FHNG: 0]
May 06 14:57:04.94: [256454]: REMOTE HANGUP: Normal and proper end of connection (code 0)
May 06 14:57:04.94: [256454]: RECV FAX: bin/faxrcvd "recvq/fax02010.tif" "tty0" "00007142" ""
May 06 14:57:05.59: [256454]: RECV FAX: end
May 06 14:57:05.59: [256454]: SESSION END
The problem is that the sending machine ends up with an error.
Unfortunately I can't have much informations about the specific
problem, all I can see is a "ECM" as the error code. Am I stuck
with a bad chipset/firmware bug or is there something I can do
to solve this problem?
BTW, this is the AT+FDCC output from the modem:
AT+FDCC=?
(0,1),(0-5),(0-2),(0-2),(0,1),0,0,(0-7)
TIA,
