Yes, I manually entered a '.', but it doesn't work. It *is*
reading data on the port, because the server issues a
550 Error, message too long; max 128 characters, if I go
over the limit.
Its like a CRLF semantics problem or something, and the
server isn't seeing it quite right. Its obviously still
reading, just not seeing a *strict* <CRLF>.<CRLF>
I've tried the telnet from a PC, and programmed keys to send
LF, CR, LFCR, CRLF, etc... No combination of those seems
able to get the DATA read to finish successfully.
