Sun's don't deal well with hardware flow control, depending on the version
of the OS. I don't believe that Solaris handles it at all.

Also, Sun uses a "split-device" trick to have one device for incoming
calls, and another one for outgoing. HylaFAX does not deal with this:
it wants the same line for both uses, and handles lock files,
handshaking, etc., correctly all by itself on an outgoing line. You
might check if some program (like uucp, cu, or PPP) are using the line
or another line that has been "split". I don't know the device names
for Solaris, only for SunOS, however.
