Re: [hylafax-users] faxgetty, wont' run

Two solutions:

first : put a line like
mo:35:respawn:/usr/lib/fax/faxgetty /dev/ttyS0
in /etc/inittab.

second:
if you want to start it from the commandline you have to write:
faxgetty -D modem... so it detaches from the tty.

The faxgetty daeomon is supposed to persist as a
background process right? If so, mine isn't running

I run as root "faxgetty modem" where modem is my
configured modem, then ps -A|grep faxgetty produces
nothing.

Any ideas as to what is going on?
