nope, it didn't. faxaddmodem said it didn't recongnize my modem and that i had to do the configuration by hand. Which is what i did.

I guess i missed something. I'm not fully aware of what class 1.0 offers. I've selected class 1.0 because its supposed to offer a few more things over class 1 and i don't trust class 2 since it depends on the firmware.

FAR? i guess you mean this:

Class1AdaptRecvCmd:     AT+FAR=1        # reports carrier detection mismatches

Should i just add this at the bottom? What exactly does it offer?
