[hylafax-users] Problem LOCKWAIT

Hello,

I have installed hylafax on freeBSD 5.4, using the port from the
ports collection, which is hylafax 4.2.1.
Compiled ok.
Installed ok.
Configured for an older modem which I have got from a friend
with faxaddmodem, set up /etc/ttys for faxgetty on cuaa1,
edited config.cuaa1.
I use class 2, as the same host acts as Fileserver
(and other servers) too.
Tested ok.
Finaly it seemed to wor well. I managed to recieve and send
about 3 faxes with up to 3 pages. This setup was at my home.

After moving the server from my home to the office (where it
should do it's job) I edited only the top part of my config.cuaa1.
I changed AreaCode, FAXNumber, LocalIdentifier, TagLineFormat only
to match the office location and ModemDialCmd to always dial an
initial 0 and wait for a public line on outgoing calls.
I did not touch the bottom part with the modem-stuff.

I was able to send a single fax with that new config.cuaa1 in use.
Then, surprisingly, I could not receive any subsequent fax
and also later tests to send further faxes did not work
any more but produced logfile like the attached
(at the bottom of this mail).

I then changed the modem:
First I used:
MODEM EXAR ROCKWELL 144DP/E.C. Version : 7.1 Date code 921118
Now I use:
MODEM ZYXEL U1496E/V 6.01 P
But no change (except that I cannot receive any faxdata now, but that,
as far as I think, is another more common modem-specific problem.)

Has anyone an Idea what's the reason for FaxGetty raising the
LOCKWAIT condition ?

Would be great if anybody may help out of this.
Thanks !
Kilian
