Jens,

We have quite a bit of experience with the Eicon Diva Server product line, 
and it has been my understanding that the lower-priced V-series boards do 
not have fax support on the board. They're more for voice/data applications. 
The TTY driver when queried seems to be suggesting the board does support 
fax:

Jan 21 23:23:52 localhost FaxGetty[11524]: <-- [12:AT+FCLASS=?\r]
Jan 21 23:23:52 localhost FaxGetty[11524]: --> [5:0,1,2]

but it may be lying to you, since the TTY driver is really just an attempt 
to translate ISDN and fax events into Class2/2.1 and sometimes had hardcoded 
answers built-in. I think it would be best to check with Eicon before you 
take this much farther, and ask them if your board supports faxing.
