All works good except that I cannot get the # of pages on the cover
sheet when I submit a pdf
file built with PdfCreator or with the shell command ps2pdf; if I submit
for example, a pdf
downloaded from the internet, the total number of pages will be
regularly displayed on cover
sheet. What's the right way to build pdf files suitable for sendfax command?

Could you check if your documents include the number of pages at the
very beginning of the postscript file? Some postscript converted give
the number of pages only at the end of the document and this might be
the problem.

Bye,
Giuseppe

Hi Giuseppe,

Many thanks for your answer; I checked the header of my ps file (the one  that works)
and it's like this:

 %PDF-1.3
7 0 obj
<<
/Length 590
/Name /Im1
/Type /XObject
/Subtype /Form
/BBox [0 0 612 792]
/FormType 1
/Matrix [1 0 0 1 -60 -124]
/Resources <<
/ProcSet [/PDF /Text]
/Font <<
/R6 8 0 R
>>
>>
>>

This is the header of a ps file, converted by hylafax from a pdf file created with Pdf-Creator,
(this does not work, if I use ps2pdf to create that file it would be the same):

%PDF-1.3
%Çì.¢
8 0 obj
<</Length 9 0 R/Filter /FlateDecode>>

It's quite different from the first one, but I cannot discover the number of pages in both headers. The first
file has 30 pages while the second has 7 pages. Do you think, there's a way to solve this?
I was wondering if there's a way to pass page-count to faxcover when I submit faxes with sendfax...

Thank you in advace, regards.

Angelo
