I know this might not be the place to get the answer, but I'm going to try
here first to see if a quick answer is forthcoming.

I've updated my smb.conf file with the following:

[recvq]    
    comment = Fax Receive Queues    
    browsable = yes    
    path = /var/spool/fax/recvq    
    public = yes    
    writable = no

I was able to browse to the file but when I try to view the images there I
get a read only file message, click OK to open a copy. Opening a copy
doesn't work. It's got to be a samba issue. I did change the entry to:

[recvq]    
    comment = Fax Receive Queues    
    browsable = yes    
    path = /var/spool/fax/recvq    
    public = yes    
    writable = yes

But it didn't change after a restart of samba. Ideas?
