Re: [hylafax-users] WHFC and Faxcover

How exactly is the e-mail notification supposed to work? I
know that WHFC has the setting. But does something have to be enabled
on the hylafax server for that to function?
Hello James,
I don't have a system with WHFC available to check, so I can only tell
what I remember.
The Hylafax server must have a working sendmail program, so you need an
configured MTA or a simple program that forwards to a remote MTA.
In WHFC you must specify an e-mail address and that you want to receive
a notification.
The Hylafax server, or particularly the MTA, must be able to send a
mail to the address you specified in WHFC.
You can check the address and your MTA with a command like this
echo "Subject: test\n\ntest"|sendmail mail-address
where "mail-address" should be replaced with the real address.
Bodo
