It interesting. I've looked everywhere in the docs and couldn't find this
reference that allowed the winprint hylafax client to start working. It was
however in the archives. Lucky I found it. 

faxadduser -a pass -p pass user

You can save yourself a lot of trouble by using one of the Windows clients
that doesn't rely upon SMB.
