I use hylapex sf.net/projects/hylapex (of course,I'm the developer :) )
With it, you can with a simple right-click on the grid->"send this fax",
on the preview, there is two tools for modify the preview (pen and
text), so you can add what you want, and send it modified!

This is one of the reason that convince me to write a new hylafax client.
