[hylafax-users] Login error 530 with hylafax 4.2.1

Hello everybody,

a few days ago I already submitted this request. But there was no
response. Most likely, the problem is too simple to deal with it. If
this is the cause I would appreciate it if anybody could point me out
the problem. Also, I could not solve the problem by reading the FAQ.

After updating to hylafax version is 4.2.1 at the server 192.168.0.18. I
want to access to hylafax by Windows and Linux clients whfc and pyla.
But it doesn't work.

I Added the follwing users by faxaddusers:

kaefer:~# faxadduser -p xxxxxxx -h 192.168.0.16 katharina
kaefer:~# faxadduser -p xxxxxxx -h 192.168.0.17 katharina
kaefer:~# faxadduser -p xxxxxxx -h 192.168.0.18 katharina
kaefer:~# faxadduser -p yyyyyy -h 192.168.0.16 frank
kaefer:~# faxadduser -p yyyyyy -h 192.168.0.17 frank
kaefer:~# faxadduser -p yyyyyy -h 192.168.0.18 frank

The used passwords are simultaneously the login passwords. After
restarting hylafax I have expected that I can access to hylafax by using
the above defined passwords. But far from it. At the server 192.168.0.18
I entered the following command as the user frank to get the status of
hylafax. Afterwards I entered the according password and I got the below
displayed error message:

frank@kaefer:~$ faxstat
Password:
Login failed: 530 Login incorrect.

The same input as root results in:

kaefer:~# faxstat
Password:
HylaFAX scheduler on kaefer.akw: Running
Modem ttyS1 (+49.AAAAA.BBBB): Running and idle
kaefer:~#

The hosts file contains the following:

I have tried a lot of combinations but nothing helps to solve my
problem. Can anybody of you give me an advice what I can do.
