Is it probably compiled-in in libfaxserver.so*...

what I did:
deleted everything belonging to HylaFax...
rpm -e  hylafax ...capi4hylafax
rm fax* hyla*
restarted

reinstalled hylafax capi4hylfax
nothing changed! same problem!

so I found libfax*.so, deleted them too
rpm -e  hylafax ...capi4hylafax
rm fax* hyla*

installed hylafax capi4hylafax again
now it works

am so happy now!

So probably I installed some time ago a
hylafax version that had been downloaded at
hylafax.org that didn't match to the SuSE...
