Well, I'm not sure why the timeout message just says "MODEM" instead of "MODEM timeout reading line from modem", but it does look like the modem is responding to the cancel the way that it should.

In any case, did this go through properly on the next attempt? "No response to PPS/PPM" errors are rather difficult to troubleshoot, and it helps *a lot* if we know what happened on the receiver's end. A million things could have gone wrong, and nearly half of those are beyond our control (receiver-side errors).

This isn't so much an error as it is a misunderstanding. The sender in this case does not support retransmission of the page, so when HylaFAX rejected it, the sender just disconnected. This kind of situation pretty much requires the sender to retransmit. So, hopefully the sender's machine gave them some kind of error message and prompted the sender to retransmit. If not, it may require the receiver to examine the corrupt fax and request a retransmission.

It's fairly strange, though, that the TCF signal here would come in perfectly fine but then the Phase C data would be flawed on every line.

Are either of these errors reproducible?

Lee.
