Nope, it's a new feature to be first released with 4.2.2.

If SuSE is still on 4.2.0 (not 4.2.1) then you really don't want to stay 
with their packages... trust me.

I like having distro updates for packages that I hardly ever use or 
packages where I don't need the cutting-edge of technology.  But on 
packages like HylaFAX... where the system is catered to do just that... 
then I really find that the wait for a distro's release of updates is 
too lagged to make me happy.

That said, you should be able to grab the SRPM from SuSE, add the 
necessary patches (HylaFAX Bugzilla 600) and then rebuild/reinstall.  
SuSE's next automatic update will likely undo your work, though.
