Hello Hans,

who/what application is using sendfax?
Can you change the application (or convince the user) to retry later if  
sendfax fails?

If you really need a separate spooler between your application/user and  
Hylafax you could use a print spooler solution. The application/user  
submits the fax job by printing to a specific printer and a filter  
script calls sendfax to forward the job to Hylafax.
