All:

I am still seeing the dreaded phase C errors in spite of the various
configuration settings I have tried.

I am running HylaFAX Version 4.2.1 on Redhat 7.1 (kernel 2.4.2-2) with
Digi INTERNATIONAL RAS modem 56000/V80006691_M2-K56_DS as the
hardware. <<<BTW, this is an outbound fax server only>>>

I have tried to force class1, class 2.0, and now I'm back to class2.
cu & issuing at+fclass=? yields
0,1,2,2.0,8

A search in the archives for Acceleport RAS and or Digi would have yielded this information:

The dgdm driver doesn't work at all in Class 1 and not very well in Class 2/2.0.

Despite reporting problems to Digi, they did not update the driver/firmware as they seem to be end-of-life-ing the product. The rest of that product line (the Datafire RAS - digital equivalents) was sold to Patton Electronics. The same errors were reported to Patton and they did fix those problems.

The Patton 2977 driver and firmware does work on the Acceleports. Search the archives for Patton 2977 and you'll come up with more information.
