You only need to search the archives for "RocketModem III" to find that 
nobody here has ever reported any good success with them.

You may want to try using current HylaFAX CVS HEAD to see if any of the 
improvements there help mitigate some of the problems, but ultimately I 
think that you'll find that everyone who has tried a RM III have ended 
up replacing it with a RM II.
