Thanks for your help. The number belongs to one of our customers. So, I'll have to ask our Salesman to take their permission first. Its past 5pm. I will call them tomorrow about it. I really appreciate your help.

Yes, like the modem cannot detect the V.21 carrier at the remote... which is why it looks like an incompatibility.

Is there any detailed call logging facility available that could help me pinpoint the problem? I mean more detailed than the c000000xy files.


No, because the V.21 carrier detection (the "CONNECT" message versus the "NO CARRIER" message) is all work that is performed by the modem.

Any chance I can send a few test faxes to that number?
