Yes, like the modem cannot detect the V.21 carrier at the remote...
which is why it looks like an incompatibility.
Is there any detailed call logging facility available that could help
me pinpoint the problem? I mean more detailed than the c000000xy files.
No, because the V.21 carrier detection (the "CONNECT" message versus the
"NO CARRIER" message) is all work that is performed by the modem.
Any chance I can send a few test faxes to that number?
