Can you please send the output of 'lspci' with each modem? (I assume that they are PCI modems.)

I don't know what to tell you more. The AT+FRM=146 command is not supposed to respond/result in OK. If we can figure out what is happening, then we can maybe make a workaround.


My guess is, though, that these are softmodems and that a newer/different version of the softmodem driver will make things work.
