Thanks Lee.  A quick look at the process list reveals the following:

[root@Gandalf docq]# ps ax|grep faxq
20437 ?        S      0:00 faxq
 8089 ?        S      0:00 faxq
 8699 pts/3    R      0:00 grep faxq

I am noticing the obvious existance of two faxq's running.  I'll end one of
them and see what happens.  I'll also turn on server tracing as you have
suggested.
