Unfortunately, (well, unfortunate for those of us who would like to fix 
this for you) the interaction between the Eicon Divas and HylaFAX (at 
least when using the pseudo-tty driver and not the CAPI stuff) is 
really just a fascade.  Even though the log you sent indicates that no 
data was received it doesn't mean that this is the case.  The Eicon 
already did its thing behind-the-scenes, and we're just seeing the fax 
show that the Eicon tells us afterwards.  So unfortunately, the fix for 
this is going to have to come from Eicon.  Fortunately, they're 
relatively good at supporting their product for fax use.

You may be able to work around the problem by switching to Class 1... 
if somehow that triggers a different behavior internally on the part of 
the Diva.  However, you're likely to run into other problems after 
doing that, since I tend to belive that the Diva Server was intended to 
be run in Class 2.
