[hylafax-users] faxgetty flailing and failing.

On an SCO OSR 5.0.6 machine, the modem is a Hayes Optima 33600.
The config file contains:

ModemType: Class1 # use this to supply a hint
ModemRate: 19200 # rate for DCE-DTE communication
ModemFlowControl: rtscts # default
ModemNoFlowCmd: AT&K0 # setup no flow control
ModemHardFlowCmd: AT&K3 # setup hardware flow control
ModemSoftFlowCmd: AT&K4 # setup software flow control
ModemSetupDTRCmd: AT&D3 # setup so DTR drop resets modemD3
ModemSetupDCDCmd: AT&C1 # setup so DCD reflects carrier (or not)
ModemMfrQueryCmd: !Rockwell
ModemModelQueryCmd: !RC288DPi
ModemRevQueryCmd: ATI3 # product information
ModemDialCmd: ATDT%s # T for tone dialing

faxgetty does not get launched by this line
in /etc/inittabCm despite repeated commands of 'init q':
	Se2A:234:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/faxgetty tty2A

So I commanded 'faxgetty 2A' from a root prompt, and the log reports:
